Ontinyent is a large town,with plenty of shops for all tastes and requirements.It has bars,cafes,bistros restaurants.Beautiful contrasts in architecture of traditional and modern.
It has it's own football ground,for those footy fans you can go along and watch.There is a McDonalds if you feel the need to indulge in familiar tastes from home.a large muti-screen cinema.A hospital,doctors,dentists etc.A lovely local market square.In the centre of town where the locals congregate in the evenings ,a park for the children and water fountains.With places to eat and have a drink and take in the atmosphere.
Outside of town there is an indoor heated public swimming pool (hats are a necessity).The Sierra Mariola national park surrounds the area.
Lots of beautiful areas for walking, mountain biking and horse riding.There is a Go-Kart track at Villena.The list is endless if you are adventurous.
There are Bullrings at Xativa and Valencia . La Tomatina festival
Ontinyent has an impressive Moors and Christians festival in August which is great to watch and fun for the whole family.
